"Ooooo Holy Ghost"

Some time ago in Nursery, Ashie's teachers gave a lesson on the Holy Ghost. Well during the lesson D, one of the cute boys in the class shouts out Ooooo ghosts scary, to that Ashie chimes in yeah spooky scary. Since that lesson the only ghost Ashie knows is the Holy Ghost so whenever he wants to be spooky he uses his best ghost voice and yells Oooooooo Holy Ghost. This is usually done while wearing a blanket over his head and chasing his brother through out the house. It is pretty cute, but I think our next family home evening lesson should be on the Holy Ghost and how he loves us and is there to help.

Kids can be so stinking cute!!!

Ooooh My!

Last night we had one of two choices to make #1 stay at the cabin, make our way to Great G-Ma F's house in Morgan for a quick birthday visit, and then off to Lagoon. Choice #2 spend the night at G-Ma's C's, head up to Morgan, and then off to Lagoon. Well we made the latter choice and now I am left wondering if we made choice #1 would our fate be different this morning?

We choose Grandma C's house so Naphs could hang out with his bro and Ashie could hang out with his favorite Utah cousin J. Well while Ashie and cousin J. were dancing and having lots of fun Ashie fell off the bed and broke his arm. YIKES!!!

Naphs and I whisked Ashie off to the ER and that is where the fun began. Fortunately we didn't have to wait long in the waiting room. We did however have to wait a while for the orthopedic surgeon to show up to reset Ashie's arm. Luckily we had some Tylenol with us because that is all Ashie had to dole the pain for over an hour. Poor little dude! Ashie was such a champ he didn't cry much at all and trusted the Doctors and nurses completely. The nurse kept worrying about Ashie because he was so docile, Naph's and I kept reassuring her that Ashie is a relatively calm kid.

Did I mention that earlier in the day I took Ashie to the doctor and we found out he had strep throat and he probably has had it for over a week. Poor boy, when it rains it pours!

I've learned that resetting a broken arm is just awful. The doctors put Ashie on medicine that blocked his memory of the procedure and FINALLY gave him some pain killers, then they reset his arm. To do this they put two of his little fingers in things best described as Chinese finger traps, these held his arm straight up so the doctor could "mold" the broken bones back into place. While the orthopedic surgeon was "molding Ashie's bones back into place he has watching it via x-ray on the computer screen, it was pretty cool to watch. Because Ashie's body could fill the pain of the bone manipulation a nurse had to hold Ashie's head still and Naphs had to hold Ashie's poor little struggling legs. Ashie now has an awesome Ute red cast and a heavy prescription for pain. He will be casted for at least 6 weeks. No fun!

Warning the pictures below are pretty graphic so don't look if you don't think you can handle it. I wince whenever I see them.

I am glad we had Woody with us at the hospital because the cute nurse would use him as an example as what she would be doing to Ashie. If you notice in the picture, Woody is all bandaged up like Ashie.

Today I am thankful for wonderful doctors and nurses who took the time to care for my little man! Oh and wonderful pain killers that are keeping Ashie comfortable!

One cute story when Ashie was waking up after the procedure he turned over and looked at Naphs and I and said, "no more monkey's jumping on the bed." Yes, that is right my little monkey I hope you remember that for years to come!

Any Takers?

Naphs and I are among the few in the neighborhood left holding down the fort. If you are boring just like us and don't have plans for the weekend, let us brighten your day. We have one family discount pass ticket to Lagoon (It's where fun is!) for this Saturday. If you interested either give me a call or leave a comment. I think you save $10/$12 per person with these tickets.

Memory Lane

The only picture I have of myself is the one I took with photo booth on my Mac. I guess I should let Naphs be behind the camera a little more often.

Take a little trip

I thought this was a fun post that I found on my friend Melanie's blog. Share your memories of ME and remember keep it PG! He!He! I am only kidding like I ever did anything wrong. Wink!

1. Add a comment on my blog, leaving one memory that you and I (or Naphs, or both of us) had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

My best friend

Last night when I was putting Ashie down to bed he said the following to me...

Ashie: "Mom, Hayden is my best friend"

So sweet some how that made all of the fighting worth it! I love my boys!

First Hair Cut

Coach got his first hair cut the other day. I've been reluctant about cutting his hair because I liked his curly locks at the back of his head. Plus I think I really wanted to hold onto my baby forever and I knew by cutting his hair his look would change to more of a toddler. Sad :( I finally let Coaches hair be cut after my SIL made fun of Coaches mullet. Whaaaat a mullet I never saw it as that I only saw it as curly locks. Truth be told I miss Coaches curly locks even if they have a mulletesq look to them. Hopefully they grow back!

Naphs the brave soul he is cut both boys hair. It started out being easy, but unfortunately the boys got bored with it pretty fast and wiggled and screamed for the majority of the haircut. With that said I think he did an awesome job! I know I would never attempt to cut any of my family members hair - not even the dogs.

I finally got my BMW!!!

No I am not talking about the BMW that is a status car, you know the type. I am talking about the Big Mormon Wagon. My love of BMW's began when I was in Young Women's and all of the leaders that I adored/idolized had them. Seriously, these women were perfect, they were beautiful (so beautiful in fact, the young men in the ward nick-named them Barbie and Skipper), they had great homes, cute husbands, and adorable children. I guess in my adolecent head I figured having the BMW was the magic element that created the perfect life. Not really but it couldn't hurt having one.

I realized tonight as I was driving down the street in my Big Mormon Wagon with the windows down and playing U2 "With or Without You" at full blast, that I finally arrived!!

Did I mention that I made buying me a Big Mormon Wagon a condition of marriage. Thanks for following through babes, I love you and as far as I am concerned we have a perfect life together!

Thanks for messing with my mind...

You know how if you are told something again and again you start believing it to be true? Well after being asked if I was pregnant FOUR times in the past two weeks I started to think I was. Seriously!! I started believing it so much so that my uterus started cramping, my stomach became bloated, I have been unbelievably tired, and some what nauseous. Yikes, I CAN"T be pregnant I have an IUD. To solidify my pregnancy fears my good friend Korrin told me about her poor little sister who got pregnant with an IUD. Apparently it slipped after she stopped breast feeding. Wait a second I just stopped breast feeding!! GULP!!!

Thank goodness for dollar store pregnancy tests!! What is a girl to do when she starts believing she is pregnant? Well I RAN to the nearest dollar store to stock up on pregnancy tests. Yes, folks I buy my pregnancy tests in bulk from the dollar store, because the tests are only a dollar I can buy ten at the price you get one from the grocery store. No I didn't take ten pregnancy tests, but maybe I used two or possibly three. The good news is I AM NOT PREGNANT!!! (like I would break the news to my family over the internet).

I guess the point of my story is stop asking if I am pregnant because it is really starting to play with my mind.

Just incase you missed the part where I said I AM NOT PREGNANT, I thought I would state it again I AM NOT PREGNANT!

My Ashie is 3!

Happy Happy Birthday Ashie! We are so glad to have you as part of our family, you bring us so much joy and happiness each and every day.

Things I love about you:

You always give me and dad kisses.
You take care of and love your little brother.
You are always exploring and finding fun new things each and every day.
You are my little energizer bunny who keeps going and going, seriously you would go all night if we didn't make you go to bed.
You love learning new things.
You are so friendly when people walk by our house you chase them down and wave very enthusiastically while yelling hi.
You love to ride your bike.
I love the way you say "alright" when I explain something to you. Most of the time you don't understand what I am explaining, but you are very believable when you say "alright:. Super cute!

You are loved very much!
