Today I found Coach elbow deep fishing in the toilet, luckily there was nothing in the toilet to fish for. This just goes to show you how different my boys are. Ashie never played in or near the toilet. Coach on the other hand is facinated with it. It could be that we have been spending a lot of time in the bathroom as we are potty training Ashie.

Yummy Salad!!!
If you are a lover of salads as I am, you might enjoy this receipe. Just a little something I made up.
Rice Bean Mixture (for bottom of salad)
1 (14.5oz) jar/can Tomatoes, diced undrained (I use flavored tomatoes like garlic flavored)
1(16 oz) jar of salsa
2 (14.5oz) can fat free chicken broth
1 cup quaker oat barley (can be substitute with rice)
1 & 1/4 cup of long grain rice
2 cups water
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon garlic
1 (15 oz) can black beans
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans
1 (15 oz) can corn
3 cups chicken breast cooked and cut
Combine first 7 ingredients, bring to boil; cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add beans, corn, and chicken; increase heat to high until mixture comes to boil. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for another 5 minutes until barley and rice are tender.
Cool rice bean mixture (I usually make the rice bean mixture the night before, for to reasons so it can marinate a little longer plus it becomes plenty cool for you salad.
Once the rice bean mixture is cooled, fill the bottom 1/4 of your salad bowl with the mixture.
The secret to a good salad is add LOTS of vegetables!!!
Salad Ingredients:
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Olives
Cucumbers
Avocado's
squeeze lime juice onto the lettuce
Top the salad with fresh salsa, guacamolie, sour cream, and cheese
Line the bowl with lime wedges
This salad is full of so much goodness that you don't need salad dressing.
ENJOY!

How much family goodness can we pack into one week?
Well..... Read on and you will see. This is going to be one long post! With all of this family goodness behind us, we are now just barely catching our breath. Hence why I am finally posting about it. As you remember two weeks ago we took off for our vacay in San Diego. We left Saturday and came back Tuesday, in that time we kept ourselves very busy and had a BLAST!
Our first night in San Diego we spent at the beach visiting the sea lions, searching for crabs, and of course making sand angels. Then off to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Coach enjoyed dancing to the music.

We spent our second day at Sea World and boy that was a BLAST!!! The boys enjoyed almost every minute of it and Naphs and I got a kick out of watching our boys enjoy themselves so much.

MONDAY was spent packing in the rest of what San Diego has to offer. First thing in the morning we were off to the San Diego Zoo. After visiting the San Diego Zoo I don't know if I can ever go back to the Hoogle Zoo. The boys didn't seem to enjoy one animal over the other. Me on the other hand, I got a HUGE kick out of the polar bears. SERIOUSLY, I LOVE polar bears and the bears at the zoo gave me the show I was hoping for. One of the bears would swim under water to the far side of the pool once there he would come up for a breath drop into the water on his back then swim on his back until he reached our viewing window. Once there he would do a swim flip against the window and do the trick again. I could have watched him do that all day. I really do have a thing for polar bears!!!
After the zoo we headed to the Air and Space Museum. Ashie has an afinity with anything to do with airplanes and or space, so we had a good time there. Since the day was still young we headed off to the beach. Naphs and I had a blast playing in the water, the boys on the other hand didn't even want to dip a toe in it. They did however enjoy the beach and all of the sand. SERIOUSLY, I have never seen the boys so dirty in my life. Unfortunately our beach time was short lived because Ahsie had a mega blow-out that forced us to throw out his beach shirt and towel. After our fantastic visit to the beach we quickly went to our hotel room showered up and then off to the beach again to have dinner on a pier and an evening spent watching fisherman and surfers. To end our evening we headed over to the temple took a few pictures then went out for ice cream. What a great evening! The next day we got on plane and headed home.

Once we got home the race began. Tuesday night was spent hanging out with family that came in from out of town. Wednesday Naph's and I went to work while Glama took Ashie to the doctor to get his cast removed. After work Naph's and I headed off to B's and Itsy Bitsy's wedding dinner. It was a great evening!
Thursday was the big day, B and Itsy Bitsy were sealed together as a family for Time and All Eternity. It was a very good sealing and Itsy Bitsy looked gorgeous. The evening was spent at the wedding reception. It was a beautiful reception, every last detail was perfect! Friday was a down day for the family so we spent it shopping for baby shower presents and food, while the cousins spent the day playing. That evening we had family pictures, which were impossible to take because the kids were SICK of having their pictures taken. The rest of the evening was spent hanging out as a family.

Saturday morning was spent with more shopping and Nersey's (my baby sisters) baby shower. Ah more family goodness. We had a good showing from our aunties and cousins at the shower. You would think with all of the family engagements we had that week they would have skipped out on one or another event, but they were all there for each of the events. I love that my extended family supports and loves my family so much.
You would think after all of this fun we would have gone home and passed out, but no there was plenty more fun to be had. Once I got home from the shower Ashie was off to a friends birthday party, where they played and went on a treasure hunt together. After the party we headed to Lagoon for a evening of fun with our Boston cousins. Lagoon is so much fun with the little ones, we will definately be taking the boys back next year!

Our week of family goodness ended with a baby blessing. Sunday Nersey and Cookie Monster blessed there little baby boy! He is a sweet little baby with parents who love him deeply. Cookie Monster gave a beautiful blessing and the after party was full of yummy food and good peeps.
Wow what a busy week, we Davi seriously know how to pack it in!

VaCay!!!

The Ute Lovin Phrogs are going on VaCay! We will be spending the loooong weekend in San Diego. Ah a much needed vacation! Naphs is my nutter husband who constantly watches the internet for last minute travel deals. I finally gave into his wild hair when $100 round trip tickets to San Diego surfaced on the net.
We will be spending a day at Sea world and another day at the beach. Does anyone have any suggestions of places we can go in San Diego for fun? We are bringing the boys with us.

What's that you say?
My little Coach is speaking or least I think he is? For the last couple of weeks I have been hearing Coach speak and for the longest time I have been questioning if I really heard him say something or not. I guess I am confused because Coach isn't starting to speak like Ashie did. When Ashie started speaking he would say one word at a time and repeat it over and over again. His first word was dog and he said it a lot. Well when Coach speaks he says two sometimes three words together and it is often done at the most random times. Well my suspicions of Coach speaking was confirmed while at my mother-in-laws last week. We were just sitting down to eat and Coach says "pizza please" and my mother-in-law turns to me and says did you hear that. Yes, yes I did - few I am not hearing things!
Naphs thinks it is funny to play with my mind, he likes to pretend that I am just hearing things, that Coach isn't speaking. Well the other day Coach walked past Naph's and said "hi dad" as clear as day. Fortunately I saw Naph's face when Coach said it because when I asked Naph's if he heard it he denied it. Too bad his surprised facial expression gave him away!

"Ooooo Holy Ghost"
Some time ago in Nursery, Ashie's teachers gave a lesson on the Holy Ghost. Well during the lesson D, one of the cute boys in the class shouts out Ooooo ghosts scary, to that Ashie chimes in yeah spooky scary. Since that lesson the only ghost Ashie knows is the Holy Ghost so whenever he wants to be spooky he uses his best ghost voice and yells Oooooooo Holy Ghost. This is usually done while wearing a blanket over his head and chasing his brother through out the house. It is pretty cute, but I think our next family home evening lesson should be on the Holy Ghost and how he loves us and is there to help.
Kids can be so stinking cute!!!
