Whirl wind summer part III

Our out of state cousins visit! Well at least a quarter of them. We love our cousins and wish they could live closer.
Slip and sliding with the cousins.

Mountain adventures with the cousins.
Aren't these two adorable?! I love Belle's beautiful red hair and Davis' curly locks!Uncle Steve is the BEST!

Cousin wrestling match.
Boating with the cousins
Swimming in the lake was by far Ashie and Coaches favorite part. Belle loved floating in the tube.
I think this kid needs a boat of his own.
Sunday dinner and birthday celebrations with the family.
Sunset on the front lawn with the family can't be beat. Especially when Uncle Steve is around to climb on.
Every good family event ends with a flag retiring ceremony. What you don't have 30 foot flag pole in your front yard? Bampa does and he couldn't be happier. The grand kiddies enjoyed what will probably become a family tradition. We love you Bampa!

We love our cousins and hope they come and visit again real soon! Next time be sure to bring the Massachusetts and Texas cousins.

Whirl wind summer part II

Lagoon - it is where fun is! We bought season passes this year and have certainly received our monies worth by going practically every week. The best part is we still have two more months to enjoy the fun!

Ashie's favorite rides are the Bat, the white roller coaster, and the Tidal Wave. Coaches favorite rides are the Jumping Dragon, Puff, and the Cars you can drive yourself. Nate loves the roller coasters and capitalizes on the fact that I get motion sick on most rides and am as happy as can be watching the kids on their rides. My favorite part of Lagoon by far has been Lagoona Beach and watching my family have the time of their lives.

Cousin Missy used the boys as shields to stay dry on Rattle Snack rapids. We love you Missy even if you make us take the hit.
Naphs thought it was pretty funny when I got sprayed by the fountains when I went in to fetch the boys. I guess when you look at this picture it is pretty funny since it looks like I totally peed my pants.
The boys favorite part of a Lagoon evening is running through the fountains. The hard part is getting them out. Next time I call it is Naph's turn t retrieve them.
Mama and her babies.

Every year we get a mama bird and a diligent papa bird nesting in our hanging baskets. The mama typically hangs out on the eggs/birds all day while the papa is near by keeping watch. Our birds this year hardly ever left their perches. Even when I would put my watering can in the basket to water my plants mama would stay on her young. If I would get to close with the watering can she would smack it with her wings. She sure was a dedicated mama. So much so that she came back to her nest for round 2 of babies. We had 4 babies in all this summer. The kids love watching the birds change from eggs to birds to leaving their nests. So do I.

Family home evenings. Believe or not we have had a summer scratch that a year full of Family Home evenings. It does help that Naphs and I are the Sunbeam teachers in our ward so we basically use the lesson we created for our Sunday lessons. The kids love it and so do I. Below we created temples out of marshmellows, frosting, and sugar wafers. The boys were in heaven when they got to eat their creation.

A whirl wind summer part I

Since I have been a terrible blogger I thought I would catch up by doing one mega post of what we have been up to this summer.

Summer began with Ashie's preschool graduation. Thank you for the fabulous year Mrs. Joey! Ashie loved preschool and often talks about Mrs. Joey and his desire to go visit her.
Swimming lessons with the fabulous Lil' Missy. We love you Missy and are glad we got the BEST teacher in the pool.

Cabin/four whirling trips with family and friends. Thank you Josh and Katie for the invite to your awesome cabin. We hope this adventure will become an annual tradition.

A high Uinta's adventure

Camping with Grandma Honnie and the cousins. We love camping with Grandma Honnie, she takes good care of us and always provides us with fun things to do.

Ashie's birthday

Again this post is late, but hey better late then never. Ashie is now 5 years old and I can't believe it. Seriously, where has the time gone? Ashie is my busy body, he is always up and doing something. Below are some more fun loving characteristics of my little boy:
  • He is the best big brother. He includes Coach in everything he is doing and is excited to add another member into our family!
  • Ashie is everyone's friend. Where ever he goes he makes new friends.
  • Ashie loves Scooby Doo, the Utes (that's my boy!), and legos.
  • Ashie makes the coolest rockets and planes with legos.
  • Ashie's favorite color changes, but some of his all time fav's are orange, blue, and red.
  • Ashie's favorite food is McDonalds, although I think his like of McDonalds stems from the play area and the toys included with lunch.
  • Ashie loves to ride his bike and go to the park.
  • Best of all he loves me and is sure to tell me every day with hugs and kisses.
Ashie your parents love you so much and are so proud of the little guy you are turning into.

We didn't throw a party for Ashie, but thankfully his birthday fell on the same day as the SSL fireworks, so we invited some friends on a prefirework picnic and had pizza and cake (i.e. chocolate doughnuts). Good times!

The cake free for all. The kids were in heaven.

Coaches Birthday

I know this is late, but at least we haven't hit the 6 month marker. Coach is now 3 (pretty much 3 1/2) and is such an awesome kid. We are so glad that he is a part of our family! He certainly keeps life interesting. Just a little more about Coach:
  • He adores his big brother and plays very well with him
  • He can be a stubborn little guy, but we still love him
  • His favorite color is blue
  • He needs a good night sleep in order to function
  • He loves Scooby Doo
  • His favorite food is Mac and Cheese
  • He would live on junk food if I would let him
  • He is the cuddliest little guy I know. Naphs and I don't mind Coach sleeping in our bed because he snuggles right into you and stays there all night. We love our cuddle bug!
Coach asked for a Superhero birthday party. Superman is his all time favorite superhero. Below are some photo's of Coach and his superhero friends.

Introducing.......

Scooby Doo Francis!
That is if Ashie gets naming rights on this baby. Ha!Ha! I love how my sweet little Ashie believes that Scooby Doo is absolutely the best name for our newest family member. Who knows maybe Scooby will become our babies nickname or at the very least a bloggy name.
Sorry the picture is so small I will work on enlarging it. The picture is a profile picture of our little guy. That is right I said guy! If there is one thing Naphers and I know how to do well, it is creating beautiful healthy boys! We are excited for our newest little addition and eagerly await his early December arrival. I am now 20 weeks and feeling great! I love the second trimester and the relief it brings. I am also more awake then I have been in the last few months, not to mention I have been much nicer. Naphers and I can really feel the little guy kicking now. I love the feeling of an active little baby inside of me.
