Vegas Vacation

We crashed another of dad's business trip. This time we went out with him a day early so we could have some time exploring together as a family.

First stop the way too high bridge that extends over the Colorado River. Mom was not a fan. We had to get off when Scooby started climbing the railings. Gah! Heights, no thank you.
We had to take the dam tour. Perhaps only to say we took the dam tour. Lol!
This is a view of the dang high bridge over the Colorado River. You can see why I was freaking out.
My tough boys holding up the bridge. Love them!

Dad had to work and we had to head back home for school. On our way we stopped at the Calico Ghost town. We were big fans.

We even spotted some ghosts. This made the younger crowd quit happy.

I made them walk through the Cemetery. Ash wasn't too happy about this. Good thing we didn't find any ghosts in here. Lol!

Birthday cake time!

I have had so many people comment on how you are such a smiley boy. You have been full of smiles and life since the day you were born. I like to think you have a a lot to be happy for. You have two adoring parents, 3 older brothers, a dog and a very happy life.

You love playing with and keeping up with your older brothers. I have had to learn to let you do big boy things, as there is no holding you back. I just had to teach you the proper way of doing things so you won't get hurt. For example you love to climb on my center island so you you can be big and tall and see what is going on. I had to teach you how to properly get up and down from the island and how to be safe around the edges.

I am sure glad that you are part of our family. You bring so much love and joy into our home. I love that you still snuggle with me every night and I love how you run to daddy and scream dad over and over again when he comes home from work. Our lives are better because you are in it. I love you little man.

Death Valley

We followed dad out to another Death Valley business trip. While he worked we played.
These crazy kids love the sand dunes. What kid doesn't love a giant sand box.

Hiking around on Rio Tinto property looking for addits.

Badwater Basin the Lowest point in North America at -282 feet below sea level. The kids were not impressed. All they wanted to do was go back to the pool and swim. Luckily TLex let me snap a picture.

Growing-up Fast Around Here

Ash begged dad to teach him how to mow the lawn. One day he will learn to regret that decision once lawn mowing becomes his chore.

Honorary Commander

Nate has the Honor and privilege of being one of the
Honorary Commanders at Edwards Airfare Base. This allows our family to have a year pass to the Air Force base and then Nate and I will be invited to events throughout the year where different departments on the base will show off how cool they are. I have heard that they have put on some amazing show and tells for the Honorary Commanders. I can't wait!
Here he is with the the Brigadier General over Edwards Air Force Base

Christmas in Utah

This year we decided to surprise our families for Christmas. We called Grandpa Brad and Grandma Maralee and asked if we could stay with them. This was such a good idea because we got into town two days before Christmas, so we had two days with them all to ourselves. No one else could compete for our time because no else knew we were in town. Smart thinking!

We watched movies, went swimming, ate a lot, went sledding, and even went to see the lights at Temple Square. Thanks for the good times and a wonderful place to crash Grandpa, Grandma, and Alisha. We sure do love you!
